Open to any person with a disability to contribute to the cost(s) of tuition, books, and/or registration fees related to post-secondary education such as four (4) year colleges or universities, two (2) year colleges, vocational/technical schools and programs, adult education and continuing education programs, and/or Life Skills programs.

The maximum Accessibility Grant award is $1,500.

Documentation Required:

• Disability Verification. Acceptable forms of documentation include:
  • SSI or SSDI benefit letter dated within 12 months prior to the grant application date
  • First page of the person’s ISP, IEP, BHP, or other verification of any disability services received
• Proof of enrollment/acceptance into school or program
• Explanation of how expenses over and above the grant amount will be covered

This grant is available to people with I/DD and their families to help cover the cost(s) of registration fees and/or travel expenses to attend The Arc Oregon State Convention, The Arc National Convention, the National Disability Policy Seminar, or an Oregon conference or convention with a focus on supporting and advancing the rights of people with I/DD.

The maximum Convention/Conference Grant award is $1,000.

Documentation Required:

• Disability Verification. Acceptable forms of documentation include:
  • SSI or SSDI benefit letter dated within 12 months prior to the grant application date
  • First page of the person’s ISP or IEP
• Explanation of how expenses over and above the grant amount will be covered
• For a the National Convention or Disability Policy Seminar, a letter of support from the local Oregon chapter of The Arc the applicant is a member of, or other disability advocacy organization
• Confirmation of fees to be paid – air travel, hotel, and/or registration fees

Available to pay for final burial/cremation expenses for a current or previous OSNT sub-account beneficiary who has passed away. This grant may be applied for by a family member of the beneficiary in the event the beneficiary does not have a pre-paid plan in place and the family would experience undue hardship without financial assistance.

The maximum Final Expense Grant award is $1,500.

• Funeral home invoice or estimate for final expenses
• Explanation of how expenses over and above the grant amount will be covered

Open to prospective first-party sub-account beneficiaries to pay for the legal fees incurred to get a court-approval as necessary to establish an OSNT account. To be eligible for this grant award, the total expected deposit into the sub-account must be less than $15,000, and the beneficiary must be ineligible for or unable to establish an ABLE Account.

The maximum Legal Expense Grant award is $2,500.

Documentation Required:

• All documentation required to establish a new OSNT sub-account
• Attorney letter of representation
• Attorney estimate of costs for representation in court order proceeding

Open to any person with a disability for home or vehicle modifications, adaptive equipment or technology, communication devices or durable medical equipment needed to increase accessibility at home, work, school or in their community.

The maximum Accessibility Grant award is $2,000.

Documentation Required:

• Disability Verification. Acceptable forms of documentation include:
  • SSI or SSDI benefit letter dated within 12 months prior to the grant application date
  • First page of the person’s ISP, IEP, BHP, or other verification of any disability services received
• Vendor purchase order, estimate, invoice or other documentation clearly showing the goods or services to be purchased and the vendor’s contact information
• Proof of denial of payment (if applicable) for purchase of medical equipment or other items possibly covered by disability related benefits
• Letter from professional recommending the item or modification
